THE COACH

My many years of experience as a coach have taught me the importance of building rapport and gently leading clients to open up in a climate of trust. I have a passion for understanding the world through the eyes of different cultures and read and travel widely. I get great joy from my children and grandchildren and friendship is one if my highest values. I find time spent developing relationships is always rewarding.

EXPERIENCES

I have a background in education. Before coming to Singapore in 2002 I worked in Higher Education in the Netherlands for 25 years as a lecturer and a professional trainer at the Faculty of Technology and Science and the Business School at Drenthe University of Professional Education, Hogeschool Drenthe, Emmen. I taught Technical English and Business English, management skills, presentation skills, teamwork, project management and creative thinking.
I was also involved in corporate training in the Netherlands for companies like Honeywell and Philips. I trained leadership skills, team coaching, negotiating skills and conflict management.
In 1990 I became a member of the Faculty Executive Board (of Technology and Science) and was Managing Director of the Faculty during the last two years.

In Singapore I set up RG Coaching & Consulting to offer mentor coaching for coaches, trainers and educators and personal/life coaching. I introduced Peer Coaching to Singapore and trained and supported Peer Coaching Groups.
I worked as a consultant on Education Management and Reform.
I have also conducted talks and workshops on coaching and NLP related subjects.

CREDENTIALS

I am a registered Supervisory Coach (NL-S11136) with wide experience in one-to-one mentor coaching and coaching for personal professional development. I am also a certified NLP Practitioner.
