Management Consulting
As a manager in a demanding organization there will be moments you will feel
the need to take a break and distance yourself from the everyday demands to reflect
and analyze. I could be your sounding board in your search for new points of view and
creative solutions to your problems.
The consulting can either be focused on the personal role of the manager or on the
organization. We will use the strengths of you and your company to find new approaches
to everyday challenges.

Education Management
Leadership in educational institutes from primary
school to university needs leadership based on consensus and participation. Compared with
profit organizations a different type of leadership style is asked for.
The profile will highlight three important qualities: self-awareness,
interpersonal skills and negotiating skills.
The consulting will focus on leadership development. I think being a leader
is different from being a manager. Your vision, passion and inspiration
and your ability to communicate them are most important if you want
your staff to fully participate.

Educational Reform
With my expertise and experience in curriculum
reform in Dutch Higher Education I can offer consulting in the following areas of educational reform:
- Curriculum structure and content
My expertise and experiences in curriculum reform in Dutch Higher
Education makes me a helpful ‘sparring partner’ for educational staff
in discussions on all aspects of curriculum structure and content.
- Creativity and innovation
Educators in Singapore realize that creativity and innovation is to be a basic
focus, interwoven with every aspect of the curriculum. In that way
creativity and innovation will be part of the student’s attitude and is
not limited to courses like ‘Enterprise Skills’ or ‘Design Project’.
- Building Core-General courses
Having experience as a trainer of management skills, teamwork, project
management and creative thinking I can help in composing and
structuring the ‘soft-skills’ courses, which are part of the core
curriculum.
- New role for lecturers
A new approach to learning means a totally new role for the lecturers.
From my own experience as a manager of curriculum reform processes I
know how difficult that is. Being used to be in control and telling the
students what to do, they are now supposed to be facilitators and
coaches.
