NLP stands for:
- Neuro – the brain
- Linguistics – how we use language to express ourselves and communicate
- Programming – how we store our experiences and knowledge and sort them
NLP focuses on the fundamental coherence between the senses, the use of language and our mental programming.
It offers techniques and models that can be very useful in education. Teachers can benefit from the ideas of NLP on how the brain receives information and learns through the sensory organs.
Students can be visual, auditory or kinesthetic learners. If you are able to recognize their preferences you can create a learning environment using all the systems in
communicating with the group or if working with a student on a one-to-one basis matching the primary system of this particular student. NLP can help you supporting your students
in adopting efficient learning strategies fitting their learning style.
Who can benefit?
Teachers, teachers-to-be or people and educational professionals who are interested in NLP and want to incorporate NLP skills in their work.
